Thank for your interest in working with
Boston Tutoring Services
! We are excited to continue our monthly newsletters of tutoring tips, helpful reminders, registration dates, and special offerings.
We hope you are enjoying your summer so far! Summer is an important time for your child to both relax and regroup from the school year, as well as to enrich their skills and interests. Many of your children are in camps or programs, or traveling close to home and abroad. But if the fall seems far away to them, we know you, as parents, are already thinking ahead.
The next several months are the busiest for us here at Boston Tutoring Services, as we begin to match students with tutors for the fall, especially for the
private school admission tests (and the
Boston Latin Exam). If you are thinking of applying to private school in the fall, we are happy to speak with you about the admission process and the options available for test preparation. It is never too soon to start, but even if your child is unavailable to begin tutoring this summer, tutors do book up early.
If you're thinking about tutoring this fall, we can match you with the best fit for your child. There is no payment due until you get started.

Use your summer to prep for fall SAT/ACT tests!
Plan for your child to take a standardized test at least twice to give them the best chance of a high score.
The next SAT will be August 26th and then October 7th.
The next ACT will be September 9th and then October 28th.
Our tutors have been fully trained in the new content
and test-taking strategies of both the SAT and ACT tests. We focus on time-management and customize our instruction to meet the needs of each student.
If you are not sure whether your child should take the SAT or ACT, please see the article below.
SAT vs. ACT: Choose Wisely
We often see students who feel more comfortable with one test over the other, so if you have the time to start early, we can create the best action plan for them moving forward this spring.
