Bright Star Theatre Company
Beginning this fall, Bright Star Theatre will be open for all individuals 16 and older to participate. Please sign up as soon as registration opens as this program will likely fill up more quickly than usual due to the extended age range. We are looking forward to the change and are excited to welcome more participants to this program!

Off-Season Swimming
We’re also excited to announce a new program coming this fall, Off-Season Swimming! This program is designed for competitive swimmers who are looking to compete on the Gator Swim Team during the upcoming winter season. The program will focus on conditioning and practicing swim skills, and is open to participants ages 8 and up.

In many ways, Katie Millar lives the life of a normal 30-year-old woman. The Mundelein resident has a job. She lives in a house with three roommates. And she has several hobbies. One is powerlifting.

Northbrook Days is free for the whole family. This event is open to Northbrook residents with disabilities and individuals with disabilities served by NSSRA and their immediate family or caregiver living in the same household. Register here by Friday, July 21.

Catherine Benson
Recreation Specialist for Camps & Special Events
Catherine comes to us from Illinois State University where she recently graduated with her degree in Therapeutic Recreation. With several years of experience at NWSRA in Rolling Meadows, Catherine is a great fit for the NSSRA team and we're thrilled to have her! Welcome, Catherine!
Marissa Wayne
Recreation Specialist for Youth Programs
Like Catherine, Marissa is also a recent graduate of Illinois State University where she received a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She completed her internship with NISRA in Crystal Lake, and has jumped right into her position at NSSRA running the Youth area. We're so glad to have her on #teamnssra!
George Pappas
Finance Coordinator
A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a MAS degree (Master of Accounting Science, we had to look it up too!), George has an extensive background in accounting, specifically for local government entities. We are excited to have George on the team to crunch all our numbers so that we can keep running safe and successful programs!
