Dear Friends of A Novel Experience,

It's been quite a tumultuous year for our country since our last Flag Show--and, we are once again honoring America's "grand experiment" by inviting photographers to bring their images of the American flag to hang on our walls in July. (It's still not too late to be involved--bring one by anytime this coming week!) We'll do our annual hot dog cook-out at the store on Saturday, July 15th to thank the artists who contributed to the exhibit. It's a laid-back summertime opportunity to enjoy our community and our town. Haven't been here in a while? Look for the big American flag in our front window--that is the one that graced the coffin of Karen's dad who was a U.S. Army veteran. And, this is a great time for history lovers to read more on the founding of our country--what the Founders accomplished, given their vast regional, cultural and philosophical differences, is a testimony to what truly makes our country great. Come and grab a good book on the subject!

This is the all-time-best month to read for pure fun and delight--on the beach, in your backyard or front porch, or in the parking lot of your local DQ while you are treating yourself to a mid-afternoon sundae. We have our famous wading pool of great beach reads ready to go for you--and since they are used (and, sublimely low-priced), who cares if sand, ice cream, or sunscreen gets on the pages!

Please note: We will be closed on the 4th! Besides giving our great crew a day off, Chris will be preparing her great big brown dog to get through the firework noises that night...

And, authors get ready! We're doing our semi-annual Author's Showcase for those who have published books--that will be Saturday, July 22nd from 2-5. Bring a small table and your books and set up in the store. Invite your fans. Get the word out. And, call us at 770-567-1103 and let us know you're coming. For other events. check out our calendar below.

For those who "read" via audiobooks, we've just added Libro.fm to our offerings--You can sign up here at the store or by visiting Libro.fm/anovelexperience . Listen away on your iPhone, Android device, or PC. See below for more information.

Update on the lost kitten: Susan took him home and we hear he has climbed to the pinnacle of the feline hierarchy at her house...we'll get Susan to post a picture on our Facebook page--complete with name. Thanks to all of you who offered consultation and best wishes for his fate while he was here!

And, as always, come on by and tell us what you're reading...Thanks for supporting our very own grand experiment--we couldn't do it without you!
