Worcester artist Howard Johnson is one of the most original and distinctive artists working in New England today. His visionary artworks reflect his interests in philosophy, mythology, science fiction, and popular culture - among other things.

This exhibition is the result of the sixth annual collaboration between the  Fitchburg Art Museum and ArtsWorcester.  The historic motto of our nation --- out of many,  one ---   is also a way to conceptualize how we make and think about art.

This exhibition presents photographs from FAM's Permanent Collection that feature windows and mirrors as compositional devices that inform and direct how we, as viewers, see. 

Summer Art Classes for ages 5-8 and 9-12
August 6 - 10

Classes in drawing and painting, sculpture, STEAM, and more.

Morning and afternoon options: 
9am - 12pm and/or  12:30 - 3:30pm

Sign up for one or two 5-day classes per child
$105 Family-level Museum members, $125 Non-members per 5-day class

For students taking a morning and afternoon class,
there is a $15 additional fee for supervision
during lunch (students must provide their own lunch)

8:30am early drop-off and  3:30 - 5:30pm 
late pick-up available for additional  fees.

Enjoy creating suncatchers, puffy paintings, clay pendants, and more with your family and friends on FREE Fun  Friday10am - 4:30pm! Hunt for "treasure" in our galleries, take your photograph with a Fitchburg celebrity, and have your face painted. Explore our galleries to see art and artifacts from ancient Egypt (including mummies), African art, and art and crafts from regional artists, and learn more about them in the 
interactive  Learning Lounges.
