"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world." - Ada Louise Huxtable
July at the Art Center
July is a fun month with days like Sidewalk Egg Frying Day (on the 4th), Barbershop Music Appreciation Day (on the 13th), Ugly Truck Day (on the 20th), and Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day (on the 27th). But there's so much more than that happening locally and regionally that we think you'll enjoy more!

In the Gallery...
Tapestry as Exploration & Innovation
Don't miss out on this beautiful exhibit featuring the works of the High Desert Tapestry Alliance and the Tapestry Artists of Las Arañas.

These two groups of fiber artists have given a contemporary spin to an ancient art form. The majority of work on display depicts scenery from our National Parks and Monuments.

The show will remain on display through Saturday, July 28.
Summer Art Camp Showcase
The last week of July ends our 2018 session of Summer Art Camp for pre-schoolers up through high school aged kids.

Every year, we celebrate their creativity by filling the gallery with their vibrant, clever, and whimsical creations.

It's only up for one week so don't miss it!
