Featured Artist

Oil Painting by Scott Yao

The Woodridge Library Art Gallery will feature the work of fine art painter Scott Yao throughout July.

Scott began to express the beauty of his hometown, Beitou, Taiwan (known for "a hot springs near the sea" and the surrounding Yangming mountains), through art from an early age.

Through experimentation, exploration and effort, Scott has honed his own painting style, influenced and refined by his background in engineering and architecture. He states that his "life and soul are dedicated to art."

Meet the artist at a reception being held in the library's lobby at noon on Saturday, July 9.

The kickboxing demonstration on June 14 was a big hit. It was presented as part of the Exercise Your Mind summer programming for adults.
