Slow Food is a non-profit member supported International movement, founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people's dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world. |

Greetings! Our Slow Food chapter truly appreciates the support that we have been getting at our events. Our partnership with local food organizations has been growing "organically". We look for your involvement and support as we move into prime growing seasons. Farm to City and The Food Trust both provide local Farmer Markets in your neighborhood so you can find links on our website to their respective websites for a directory. We try to keep our website and Facebook page updated with events happening in the region that we support. Please note tickets are now on sale for Good Food, Good Beer and the Rest is History event happening on Saturday, July 16th. Event information is on our website. This year we are serving a pig roast and beer provided by our friends listed on our website. This is a joint fundraiser with Slow Food Philly and Farm to City.
