Truthsayers,
Soon we will be humming my favorite tune from Porgy and Bess. It's been madness as I begin to adjust and settle into being back home. I have been awarded the Ellen Belic Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media, Columbia College Chicago Spring 2012 Fellowship! Thanks so much to Jane Saks for supporting my work. Chris Johnson and I did talks about Question Bridge at Google and Pixar, I've been yapping about my other work down here in Virginia as part of 30 Americans at the Chrysler Museum, and at Soho House with Art Space who has agreed to sell prints in support of Question Bridge. Most of all I am honored that the Brooklyn Museum has decided to extend the Question Bridge exhibition until July 15th! So now you should definitely get to see it if you haven't in the past 6 months - I know how it goes. I'll be bouncing around trying to land a home (let me know if you have an in) and pretending to be stable as I prepare for my first solo show in New York in 4 years. No pressure.
paz,
Hankling
p.s. If you can stand it. here is me trying to be wise.
