Fruit forward yet dry, this true Rose' appeals to all palates. A typically rich, this medium-bodied wine has a lingering finish of red cherry and strawberry balanced by soft tannins. This light and crisp rose' is the perfect year round "red." Fun by itself or paired with salads and cured meats.

Brother Devil. That's fra diavolo translated into English.  It is also the nickname of an Italian bandit from the 19th century.  The dish is so named because this is traditionally a very spicy dish.  The Italians use crushed red pepper to give it the heat.  I am going to add a South Texas twist and add some jalapenos for additional and different heat.  If you don't like your food really spicy, leave out the jalapenos, or remove the seeds to reduce the heat level.  If you like to go for the burn, add a Serrano pepper in addition to or instead of the jalapeno.  This dish is a great combination of flavors - sweetness from the shrimp and tomatoes and the heat of the peppers.

Similar to a pinot noir, this Southern Italian beauty is fermented in 100% stainless steel for a medium body that drinks easily with a pleasant finish. Mild plum, spice, and dark cherries finish with soft tannins and white pepper. Exceptionally smooth across the palate, this off-dry wine is fruity yet not sweet and is a great happy hour or patio wine that is also incredibly versatile with food.

Lamb & Goat Cheese Sliders

I love lamb, I love sliders, and I love red wine. This pairing gives me all three. Montepulciano is the table wine for Italians that live in the Abruzzi region.  Lamb has been a staple of their diet for millennia and the two are a natural pairing.   I hope you enjoy this outdoors with some friends and a bottle of Martin Ulisse Montepulciano.
