It's gearing up to be a hot summer!
 
Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water while out here at the ranch. If you are in need of a water bottle we have GA sports bottles for sale in the office.

Region I Championship Horse Show held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

We have weekly sessions beginning June 9th
 
Camp is held Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
 
Campers ride everyday and have a cool-off water activity every afternoon. $295 per camper. $50 deposit is due at the time of reservation.

SALT BLOCKS 

 

If you do not already have a salt block in your horse's stall...now is the time.           

 

"Horses do require about 1-2 ounces of salt per day to
help meet their requirement for sodium and chloride.  This requirement can increase to 4-6 ounces of salt per day in hot climates or under exercise where losses in sweat increase greatly.  Inadequate salt in the diet can result in abnormal eating behavior such as licking or chewing objects which have salt on them (fork handles etc.) or licking/eating dirt.  Water intake may also decrease, increasing the risk of impaction colic. In more extreme cases, horses will stop eating and may experience muscle incoordination."

These are both great opportunities to get involved 
with and be around the horses.
