Annual Satisfaction Survey
Survey closes July 1, 2016
The Arizona Commission on the Arts endeavors to continually improve the service and support it provides to Arizona's arts sector. To this end, the Arts Commission invites your candid appraisal of the agency and its work in this confidential survey. Information you provide will be used in the construction of annual reports to the Governor of Arizona and to the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as for internal performance measures.

In June 2016, the Arts Commission will present an exhibition at Chartreuse, a contemporary art space on historic Grand Avenue in downtown Phoenix, featuring work by five members of the 2015 cohort of Artist Research and Development Grant recipients.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday, June 17, 2016, with
durational patchmaking by P.Nosa
from 6:00 to 9:00pm, and Saturday, June 18 from 12:00 to 4:00pm.

AZ ArtWorker: Painting Workshop with Claudio Dicochea

Unmasked: Creating from Challenges
Banner Health University Medical Center

Artists are invited to submit proposals for pieces crafted through the re-purposing of radiation masks donated by patients, previously used for head/neck cancer treatments. Selected artists will create and display their work at the Pavilion Gallery located in the Banner University Medical Center South. Exhibition is scheduled to take place November 1 to February 26.
Artistserv/ Thermal.Gallery

Artistserv is currently seeking submissions for their second semi-annual NEW ART AZ exhibition. Submissions must have been created this year, but subject, style, and medium are open to the artist's choosing. Selected work will be displayed in the Thermal.Gallery online and at the Walter Art Gallery located in Scottsdale, AZ. The exhibition is scheduled to take place in September 2016.

AZ Humanities welcomes proposals for community-based projects focused on increasing the understanding of the human experience. Mini grants are designed to support public programming through small organizations with limited funding. Awardees may receive up to $2,000 in funding. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply.

The 2016 Images from a Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show is currently accepting submissions from photographers across the globe. Digital and film processes are welcome for submission. Juror Sean Arabi will select awardees and $2,650 in prizes will be granted. Selected works will be displayed in the Tehama Country Visitors Center Gallery, as well as featured on the website.

The Nicolet College and Northern Arts Council invite artists to submit work for their 29th annual Northern National Art Competition. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from Sept 24 to Nov 4, 2016. Medium, style and subject are open, but submissions must be able to hang on a wall. There will be over $8,500 in cash awards distributed.

National Endowment for the Arts

The NEA invites organizations nationwide to apply. Art Works grants are awarded to projects with the purpose of supporting the manufacturing of arts excellence, public engagement, lifelong learning, and intent to strengthen communities. Our Town grants are designed to support applicants with project ideas that will enhance the livability of communities through placement of arts. Grant funds range from $10,000 to $100,000.

The Robert Lehman Foundation is accepting applications from cultural organizations with ideas for projects aimed towards enhancing the part that visual arts plays within cultures. Proposals may be for projects ranging from museum exhibitions to scholarly publications and more.

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation encourages visual artists with financial needs to apply for their grant. The Foundation aims to support artists, internationally, who have worked professionally in their practice for a substantial amount of time.
