The Arizona Commission on the Arts endeavors to continually improve the service and support it provides to Arizona's arts sector. To this end, the Arts Commission invites your candid appraisal of the agency and its work in this confidential survey. Information you provide will be used in the construction of annual reports to the Governor of Arizona and to the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as for internal performance measures.

June 17 & 18, 2016
In June 2016, the Arts Commission will present an exhibition at Chartreuse, a contemporary art space on historic Grand Avenue in downtown Phoenix, featuring work by five members of the 2015 cohort of Artist Research and Development Grant recipients.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday, June 17, 2016, with durational patchmaking by P.Nosa  from 6:00 to 9:00pm, and Saturday, June 18 from 12:00 to 4:00pm.

AZ ArtWorker: Painting Workshop with Claudio Dicochea

On June 25, 2016, join AZ ArtWorker and visual artist Claudio Dicochea for a bilingual workshop that will provide participants with an understanding of paint as a material for artistic expression and painting as an activity that explores our sense of self and our sense of place.

Call to Poets: Summer 2016 Issue of Unstrung

Poets are invited to submit publication-ready work related to Arizona for the Summer 2016 issue of Unstrung, a Blue Guitar magazine. Submissions are free and multiple are allowed. Arizona Consortium for the Arts is excited to feature local artists from across the state in this magazine of and about poetry

Unmasked: Creating from Challenges  
Banner Health University Medical Center 
Location: Tucson, AZ
Deadline: July 15, 2016 
Artists are invited to submit proposals for pieces crafted through the re-purposing of radiation masks donated by patients, previously used for head/neck cancer treatments. Selected artists will create and display their work at the Pavilion Gallery located in the Banner University Medical Center South. Exhibition is scheduled to take place November 1 to February 26.
NEW ART AZ Exhibition
Artistserv/ Thermal.Gallery
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Deadline: July 15, 2016
Artistserv is currently seeking submissions for their second semi-annual NEW ART AZ exhibition. Submissions must have been created this year, but subject, style, and medium are open to the artist's choosing. Selected work will be displayed in the Thermal.Gallery online and at the Walter Art Gallery located in Scottsdale, AZ. The exhibition is scheduled to take place in September 2016.

AZ Humanities Mini Grants

Deadline: Accepting rolling proposals; Next Deadline: July 15, 2016
AZ Humanities welcomes proposals for community-based projects focused on increasing the understanding of the human experience. Mini grants are designed to support public programming through small organizations with limited funding. Awardees may receive up to $2,000 in funding. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply. 
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTS OPPORTUNITIES
Call for Artists: Give Voice to Women through the Arts 
World Academy for the Future of Women
Location: Henan Province, China
Deadline: June 17, 2016
The World Academy for the Future of Women seeks candidates for a year-long program that will bring 10 American women artists and performers to Henan Province, China, to perform, demonstrate, facilitate and explain how art enabled them to express themselves and find their voice to make a difference. 

Call for Entries: Images from a Glass Eye 
International Juried Photography Show
The Tehama County Photo Club 
Location: Red Bluff, CA
Deadline: June 27, 2016 
The 2016 Images from a Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show is currently accepting submissions from photographers across the globe. Digital and film processes are welcome for submission. Juror Sean Arabi will select awardees and $2,650 in prizes will be granted. Selected works will be displayed in the Tehama Country Visitors Center Gallery, as well as featured on the website. 
 
Dreams | International Photographic Call for Entries 
The Center for Fine Art Photography
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Deadline: June 30, 2016
The Center of Fine Art Photography welcomes photographers of all mediums and styles to ap ply for their exhibition, Dreams. This theme is open for interpretation of the artist. $600 in cash awards, Honorable Mention and LiveBook Website Awards will be distributed. In addition selected artists will be invited to complimentary portfolio reviews and sharing. 
29th Annual Northern National Art Competition
Nicolet College and The Northern Arts Council
Location: Rhinelander, WI
Deadline: July 2, 2016
The Nicolet College and Northern Arts Council invite artists to submit work for their 29th annual Northern National Art Competition. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from Sept 24 to Nov 4, 2016. Medium, style and subject are open, but submissions must be able to hang on a wall. There will be over $8,500 in cash awards distributed. 

Call for Art: Movement
Linus Galleries

Deadline: July 5, 2016 
Linus Galleries is accepting submissions for their exhibition, Movement. This call for work is open to international artists of all mediums. Though open to the artist's interpretation, artwork should circulate around the principle of movement through a still medium. 

Group Show: THE DOOR TO THE INVISIBLE MUST BE MADE VISIBLE
Mount Analogue
Location: Seattle, WA
Deadline: July 31, 2016
Mount Analogue and Megan Harmon Summer Art Series are currently accepting submissions for their final show of the Summer Art Series 2016. Work must pull inspiration from or be a concept derived from the phrase "THE DOOR TO THE INVISIBLE MUST BE MADE VISIBLE." The opening reception is scheduled to take  place during the Georgetown Art Attack.

Frost Place Poetry Seminar
The Frost Place

The Frost Place Poetry is seeking to take in a select number of applicants for a five and a half day poetry seminar. Accepted applicants will receive intensive attention in this small community of poets and have access to a faculty of distinguished modern-day poets. This intimate setting aims towards refreshing your artistic motivations. 
NYC Artist Residency & Exhibition 
Dacia Gallery

Dacia Gallery invites artists to participate in a 2-week long Artist Residency Program. The residency will consist of plein air painting, drawing and painting from life, guest lecturers, a course on the business of art, and visits to galleries and museums. Upon completion of the program, artists take part in a group exhibition located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The National Park service invites musicians, writers and visual artists to apply for their Artist in Residency opportunities. Each National Park has varying application processes, but aims to continue supporting artists to further their practice through the inspiration of sights and sounds of nature during these 2 to 4 week programs.

The Bright Door Residency

Bright Door offers a ten day residency as a means of encouraging the growth and development of creative ideas and projects. This particular residency would be ideal for applicants who have the desire to explore the community and environment individually. Artists, academics, and community leaders are encouraged to apply.
