JUNE EVENTS

June:
Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 5 through June 30. This year's theme is "Build a Better World." Programs for children ages 3-10 years will be held at the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10am-11am. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

June:
Kids Legos Robotics Classes at the Library on Thursdays (June 8,15,22 and 29) from 10am-12pm. This class is for kids ages 7-10 years of age. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

June:
Teen Summer Reading Program begins June 6th each Tuesday in June from 3-4pm. This program is for students ages 11-17 years. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

June:
Tweens/Teens Legos Robotics Classes at the Library on Thursdays (June 8,15,22 and 29) from 2-4pm. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

June-August:
Adult Lap Swim Tuesday-Friday from 6:30-8am at Hanna Springs Pool. This event will begin June 6th and go through August. $3.50 per swim or purchase punch pass. Contact Hanna Springs Pool 512-556-4048.

June-August:
Advanced Swim & Stroke Development classes presented by Innate Fitness beginning June 5th through August on Mondays & Wednesdays at Hanna Springs Pool. Monday (9-10am) Wednesday (8-9am). Swimmers will learn all (4) swim strokes. $55 per month. Contact Kristi Allison 512-638-1257.

June 2:
Fort Hood Department of Public Works 4-person Golf Tournament from 8am-12pm. Course closed during this event. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

June 2-3: The Parks Department will be hosting their annual FREE Camp Out/Kid Fish event. Registration will be on Friday at 7pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie (Moana), s'mores, camping and fishing. We encourage you to bring chairs/blankets & coolers. There will be no concessions. Judging starts at 12pm Saturday morning. Overnight camping is allowed Friday night. Camp sites/electric pedestals are on a first come basis. Contact 512-556-6831.

June 3: High School Fundraiser 3-person Golf Tournament from 1-6pm. Course closed during this event. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

June 3:
The 2017 Texas 4000 ATLAS Ride Presented by BHI, is a 700+ person cycling event from Cedar Park to Lampasas where supporters can ride the first 25, 50 or 70 miles with the Texas 4000 team as they start their 70-day journey. A post-ride festival will happen at the finish line; festival activities include a barbecue, live music, a presentation by the Texas 4000 team and more! The 50 and 70-mile routes start in Cedar Park, TX at Running Brushy Middle School, located at 2303 Lakeline Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 at 8am. The 25-mile route starts in Lampasas, TX at Turner Field Complex, located at 751 Campbell St., Lampasas, TX 76550 at 10am. All routes will finish in Lampasas at the Turner Field Complex, located at 751 Campbell St., Lampasas, TX 76550.

June 10:
Sulphur Creek Car Cruise from 9am-4pm at W.M. Brook Park. Registration begins at 9am. Burn out competition starts at 12pm. Included with $25 entry fee is a shirt, BBQ dinner, awards & door prizes. June 10: Moonlight Swim at Hancock Springs Pool at 7pm. Potluck supper w/ entertainment. General admission. Contact 512-734-1315.

June 20: Ladies Traveling 4-Ball Golf Tournament from 9am-3pm. Course closed during this event. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

June 24-25:

Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to [email protected] . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

Reminder from Lampasas Public Utilities: Sewer bills are based on the average water usage from December, January, and February. Please remember to notify LPU if you have any leaks during that time.

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed there on that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
