School's Out for Summer!!

Creating Balance through Dance
We celebrated our dance program participants last week at the annual Spring Showcase. These girls have worked tirelessly all year under the direction of teaching artist Hannah Pascual, and it showed! We are so proud to offer this program to the girls at Winona High School and Dogan, Moore and Hogg Middle schools. Great job girls!!

Choreographer & Kennedy Center Teaching Artist
June 6th | Caldwell Arts Academy
Randy helps teachers explore a variety of movement techniques, that extend students' ranges of movement choices, to express their words. Teachers will also examine ways to improve the quality of students' dance interpretations by investigating a useful "drafting" and "editing" process. 


June 18 & 19 | Austin, TX
The 1st Annual Southwest Arts Integration Conference will be held at the beautiful Austin Independent School District's Performing Arts Center. Guided by experienced Teaching artists and administrators from the  Kennedy Center  in Washington, DC, and  MINDPOP  in Austin, educators will explore the meaning and practice of arts integration in schools. This conference features hands-on workshops and practical approaches to implementing arts-integrated instruction. Come to learn and share about this powerful and innovative approach to teaching.

Summer Theater Arts Review/Drama Workshops
Summer Theatre Arts Review (S.T.A.R.) is an educational summer theatre program for both beginner and experienced actors and actresses alike. Ranging from preschool to high school, each class meets Monday through Friday with a performance on Saturday. Classes can be half day or full day, and one week or two. Each class is a mixture of drama rehearsal, learning exercises and fun games to help performers learn and grow. Some classes have different schedules and combine multiple aspects of theatre for a more specialized education and experience. Overall, the Summer Theatre Arts Review is a wonderful and meaningful experience for anyone wanting to be more involved with the arts.

Creativity Camps
TMA World Tour, June 25-29
Ages 6-12
We’ll expand the visual arts to include music and performance. In addition to our visual art activities, our young artists will make musical instruments, learn a song, and play a mini-concert at the end of the week.
