Note From Anne--
June is already here and there is always so much to do during the summer months. One thing that needs to be on every quilters list is the Black Hills Quilt Guild Quilt Show at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center this weekend, June 1,2,3. We are vending there and I can tell you from the time that I have been there setting up, the quality of the quilts on display is fantastic. This will give you a big boost in the creative department.

We are trying to do a few new things around the shop and on this is that we are going to have a Quilt Til You Wilt Day on Saturday June 30 from 9 am to 5 pm. This will be an open sew for you to bring your project and sew for the day. The parking is all free in the lot across the street and we will be available to help you bring your machine and supplies in the door. We will be here to help, answer questions, give advice if wanted. Get your firends together and join us for a relaxing day.

Marge Thomas was the lucky winner of the Quilt Connection Door Prize for the 2018 Black Hills Shop Hop. It ran from April 6th to 21st. Quilters could stop at each of the nine participating Black Hills Area Quilt Shops and pick up a free pattern for a block and register for prizes.

Jelly Rolls for a Rug? Yes!!

We are doing a
Demo on this technique at the Quilt Show, Friday June 1 at noon
This rug pattern is made using 2 1/2 inch fabric strips. You will need one Jelly Roll (42 - 2 1/2 inch fabric strips) and 100 percent cotton batting. Finished size of the rug is approximately 30" x 44".
We have the precut batting rolls in stock to use with it or you can cut your own. As the photo shows, you can easily use the technique to create other shapes as well.
