According to Provider Certification Rule 5123:2-2-01, (I)(8) A provider shall not provide services nor submit claims for reimbursement for services delivered subsequent to expiration of the provider's certification.
Additionally, (I)(6)A provider's failure to submit a complete certification renewal application at least thirty days in advance of certification expiration may result in a lapse of certification during which the provider shall not provide nor be reimbursed for provision of services
RN Nursing QAs
Residential settings of 5 or fewer (regardless of license) are settings where delegation is not required. Therefore, RN QA is required;
Adult Day Services of 16 or fewer is a new setting that can administer without delegation. It was added to rule (11/6/2017) so these settings now require RN QAs. This went into effect Jan 1, 2018 and RN QAs will occur sometime in next 3 years.
Additionally, according to 5123:2-2-04 (C)(2) Only the department may conduct compliance reviews of residential facilities licensed in accordance with section 5123.19 of the Revised Code and administrative rules promulgated under its authority.
