Parent Volunteer Needed for the 8th Grade BBQ
Parents, here's your chance to embarrass your 8th grader one last time before they leave middle school! We need one additional volunteer to help serve and clean up at the 8th grade BBQ  on Friday, June 9 from  12:00-1:15. If you can pitch in, please sign up  here. Thank you!

8th Grade Grad Party Update
Less than two weeks to go!  We can't believe our Hillview 8th graders will soon be past their middle school years.  As we enter the final stretch, the 8th Grade Grad Party Committee still needs some helping hands:
  • POST PARTY CLEAN UP:  We really need help with post-party clean up.  If you or anyone else in your family can join us at Hillview on Friday night from 10-11:30pmor the next morning, we would be extremely grateful.  The more people who help, the faster we can all go home!  Sign up here Sign Up Genius to help.
  • LEND AN ITEM? We are still in need of a few items to help us decorate the gym.  Please check the wish list link and see if you have any items to lend us.
  • PLEASE RECRUIT:  We still need chaperones for the party. If you have friends in the younger grade levels, we would appreciate you encouraging them to volunteer to help at the party.  Otherwise, your child may be facing an evening under the watchful eyes of his own parent or other 8th grade parents. Feel free to forward this link to all your 6th/7th grade parent friends.
6th & 7th GRADE PARENT CHAPERONES NEEDED!  Please help pay it forward!  It is a Hillview tradition that parents from the 6th and 7th grade classes chaperone the Grad Night party, so that the 8th graders can celebrate without the watchful eyes of their own parents.  Please tell a friend and sign up for one of the following shifts during the evening of Friday, June 16th.  8th Grade Grad Party - help on the day/night of the event (Friday June 16th)
For any questions on anything above, please contact Sharon Purcell or Cristy Barnes .

Hillview Teacher and Staff Year End Gifts
Wondering how to recognize your child's teacher at the end of the school year? At Hillview, we have a tradition of gifting to the staff as a community. Parents are encouraged to contribute to a centralized Teacher/Staff Gift Fund (organized by PTO volunteers) and ALL proceeds are used to buy gift cards for the entire Hillview team.

The benefits of this approach are that:
  • It's what the teachers and staff prefer. With gift cards, they can pick out something they really want or need.
  • No one is overlooked . The Gift Fund is used to recognize all 80+ Hillview employees, including the academy teachers, elective teachers, specialists, custodians and staff.
It's easy ! Just make a contribution and the committee does the rest! Gift cards are delivered on the last day of school on behalf of the entire Hillview community.
There are several ways to participate. PayPal here . Cash can be left at the Hillview Office. Check (made out to Molly Gibbons) can be left in the Hillview office or mailed to Molly Gibbons, 115 Pineview Lane, Menlo Park, CA 94025. Any questions? Contact Molly Gibbons . Thank you!

Make a Year End Tribute Gift to Honor Your Student or a Special Teacher
If you wish to salute the achievement of your child or to give a thank you tribute to a special teacher or staff member, the MPAEF Endowment Tribute program is a wonderful idea.

A Tribute gift adds to the MPAEF Endowment to support the district in perpetuity, and your  Tribute recipient's name is on the Endowment Tribute List for years to come. Click  here to see the Tribute list, at the bottom of the Donor List.

What is the Endowment?
The MPAEF Endowment for Excellence in Teaching is a permanent resource for professional development in our school district. Its goal is to ensure the best teachers for our children.

When you make a Tribute gift, your Tribute recipient receives a letter from the Endowment  letting them know about your gift on their behalf.

To make a Tribute gift, please  click here. Be sure to include the name of your Tribute honoree.

We rocked the run!
We want to thank Tara Moeller and her incredible leadership team of Kendall Harris and Astor Toyos for pulling off an amazing run, which raised almost $60,000. We had over 1400 runners who loved the new course and hundreds of happy folks who continued the fun at the expanded after-party at Hillview. We'd like to thank all of you who sponsored, volunteered and ran with us - we couldn't have done it without you! The run was also made possible by our generous business sponsors, headlined by Nelson Roberts Investment Advisors. Please take a moment to learn about and thank our business sponsors! Big thanks to Jennifer Bartle and the MPAEF Business team for bringing our generous sponsors on board.
Our community is truly incredible. Thank you for all of your support. Together, we truly rocked the run!  Enjoy the pictures of this amazing event!
