JUNE 4-H UPDATE
Hello 4-H Community,

As most of you know, Friday June 8th is my last day as the 4-H Educator. I am quite sad to go, but wish you all the best and I am sure I will see many of you around!

Your contact for the 4-H Program going forward will be 4-H Program Leader, Jane Rodd. Her phone number is (845)677 8223 ext 105 and her email is [email protected].

This last 4-H Update from me contains A LOT of information to get you through the start of the Fair season, so be sure to save it and read carefully!

The Beginnings of all things Dutchess County Fair!
It is that time of the year again, where there is a lot of buzz about the Dutchess County Fair! Our 4-H'ers have been working on their 4-H projects throughout the year and the Fair will be an excellent opportunity for them to display the skills they have learned this year. Whether they are exhibiting their animal or filling the 4-H Exhibit Hall with baked goods and rockets, all of your questions can be answered through reading the 4-H Fairbook which you can check out here!

*Please note, the link above is the Dutchess County 4-H Fairbook. Refer to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Exhibitor Guide (pictured below) for your OPEN CLASS entries!

BACK AGAIN: Life Size Scrapbook

Design and build a life size scrapbook that represents your years in 4-H. Items that can be included are pictures, certificates, awards, projects, stories about your 4-H experiences, newspaper articles, and any other items that may help the general public view what you have accomplished in your 4-H career. We also encourage you to include information about how 4-H has affected your everyday life whether it be personally, educationally, or career related.

Each exhibitor will be given at least an 8x8 area with 3 walls in which to FILL! Fabric and lights may be used as backdrops or decorations and exhibitors are encouraged to build interactive items within their room to allow the public to play along in their 4-H life. Will be judged on creativity and the best display of "4-H in My Life".
