Kevin Karschnik
Kevin Karschnik  will be preaching at all three services. Kevin said  "I am really excited to preach all three services on June 10. I let my family choose the sermon - and they went with the story of Shamgar from the book of Judges. It is a super short scripture with a really powerful take-away that anyone can apply to their lives."

Scripture:  Judges 3:31
Sermon title:  "Shamgar's Success Strategies"

Liturgists include  Robin Levins at 8:30 am and Dr. John Clifford at 11 am. Click here to read The Source.

Please join us in worship this weekend...Sunday at 8:30 am (Sanctuary), 9:40 am (Family Life Center) or 11 am (Sanctuary).
Words from Will...
We returned home from France just in time to go to Annual Conference
Annual Conference will take place at Austin Avenue United Methodist Church in downtown Waco, beginning Sunday night. Business sessions will happen in the Convention Center. Our delegates include myself and David Johnson as clergy, and Rich Thompson, Bill Canet and Paula Holmes as laity. What a
David Johnson
treasured moment it was to be in Waco two years ago, knowing that we would be meeting the delegation and the Choral Union of First United Methodist Church of Round Rock for the first time. As the choir sang, tears filled our eyes as Tina and I thought, "We will get to be part of this every Sunday." And so we have. These two years have flown by and God has moved among us in a beautiful way.

This time, it will be David Johnson who gets to connect with us. He won't get to experience the First Church choir until later, but he will still feel the warmth and greatness of our ministry. On Tuesday evening, I will participate in the congregation as part of the Ordination Service. Every year, I recommit my life to follow Christ into a new year of ministry, trusting that the grace of God will grow me and the ministry I serve a little more in both impact and Spirit.

In these two years, we have come to love you and have a deep gratitude for who each of you are as brothers and sisters in Christ. I sense that the 2018-2019 year of ministry will be one in which God stretches and uses us in some surprising and wonderful ways. Why? Because that's just the way God tends to do things.

Sincerely in Christ,

As a more in-depth follow-on to Bishop Lowry's recent Pentecost sermon, this study is intended to take class discussions and considerations into uncharted territory...the wilderness if you will. Lead teacher Sam Kyzar (assisted by Ted Keller) will use Bishop Lowry's new video series, Acting Boldly: How the Acts of the Apostles Can Guide Today's Church Through the Wilderness. This study offers practical insights on how we as the church and individuals of faith can gracefully and boldly step into today's world and remain fully faithful to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. All are welcome, no registration needed.

Calling all handy helpers
Parsonage volunteers

Calling all talented volunteers to help us spruce up the church parsonage
Do you think sawdust is a condiment? Are you handy with a hammer and saw? Do you measure twice and cut once? Are you a skilled painter like Picasso? Do others marvel at your green thumb? Do you possess great attention to detail?

If you answered  Yes! to any of the above questions, you are a strong candidate to help prepare the church parsonage for our new Associate Pastor, Rev. David Johnson's arrival on June 22! We need painters carpenters, caulkers, cleaners, gardeners, etc.

If you are willing and able to assist with any of the above opportunities, please contact David Riskind at David.riskind@gmail.com and/or 512.567.6256 to learn more about your assignment(s). Click here for more details...
