What a busy month!

May had us at C3 busy with fights, full classes, and plenty of new students becoming part of the team.

Even with the weather starting to look like summer, classes have been full and the energy in the gym has been crazy!

I've loved seeing students branch out from their comfort zones and try new classes! I've seen students participate in classes I've never seen them in before, and that is absolutely fantastic! After all, why not broaden your martial arts knowledge and learn as much as you can?

A gentle reminder to all of our students that as summer approaches, make sure that you are staying properly hydrated so that you can get the most out of your training. If you're planning on taking multiple classes in a day, make sure to bring an extra dry shirt to change into (especially if you plan on taking a kickboxing and grappling class back to back).

Let's look back at May!

Fight Results!
Team successful in various shows

Happy fighters and coaches after AXFC 60
May was a very busy month for our fight team, as we had fighters compete in various shows across the state for three weekends in a row!

-May 13th at Warehouse Warz,
Ryan Kuchinski competed in the main event of the all kickboxing event at Arlington Kickboxing Academy; though it was an unofficial "smoker" show, and no one was declared a winner or loser, Ryan stuck to the game plan and brought a crazy pace for three hard-fought rounds that we're confident would've been a winning performance; great job Ryan!
-May 20th at Snoqualmie Casino, we had pros and amateurs step into the cage at Rumble on the Ridge 55, and it was another undefeated night for C3! Bruce Slattum put on a knee and clinch clinic en route to a 2nd round TKO victory, Chris "Bad Apple" Vasil put his talents on full display with his unanimous decision victory, and Tycen "Shin to Chin" Lynn used his grappling skills to lock in the rear naked choke finish in the 2nd round! Great job everyone!
-May 27th at Edmonds Community College, members of our amateur team competed at AX Fighting 60 and it was another great night for the team! In three kickboxing bouts Ryan Kuchinski scored the KO win in the 2nd round, and both Scott Blake and Maya Thetford used balanced well-rounded attacks to bring home the unanimous decision wins! Great job everyone!
Great work Boot Campers!
Sally's Boot Camp students get awesome results!

Since she started 6 years ago, Coach Sally's Boot Camp has become one of the most popular fitness boot camps in the state. With her vast knowledge of physical fitness and diet, Sally has been able to help hundreds of students change their lives for the better.
The picture here shows just one example of some of the AMAZING results some of Sally's students have been able to achieve in just 8 weeks! Click on the picture to see more results from this camp. Great job Boot Campers!

Good Luck Tycen!
Tycen looks for another pro win in Hawaii

Fresh off of his performance at Rumble on the Ridge,
Tycen "Shin to Chin" Lynn
will look to add another win to his professional MMA record! Tycen will be competing June 3rd in Kauai, Hawaii at Kauai Cage 17 at Hanapepe Stadium! We haven't competed in Hawaii for quite some time, and are excited about the possibility of more of our team getting to compete here for this promotion! If any info comes along about a live stream of the event, we'll be sure to let you all know. Good luck Tycen!
The Revolution Grappling Tournament!
Sign up if you want to compete

The Revolution submission grappling/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament is one of the biggest tournaments in the state of Washingon, drawing competitors from all over the Pacific Northwest, and even Canada.

In March, we had a good sized group of grapplers travel to Tacoma to represent C3, and we had a ton of success! We hope to repeat that success on July 15th and 16th. Adult competitors will compete on the 15th, and kids and teens compete on the 16th.

If you are wanting to compete, make sure you're getting into as many classes as you can, and doing some extra conditioning as well. Talk with Coach Scott and Coach Jake about signing up. There is a sign up sheet posted on the mirror in the gym, so make sure you get your name on that list as well. Registration and information can be found at their website:
