June ChallengeOrganizing Personal & Financial Records
The last few months we've focused on tracking & reducing expenses in order to become better budgeters and savers. This month we're shifting gears a bit to highlight something equally important in a healthy financial outlook: having a strong organizational system for your personal and financial records.
There are many reasons why having an organized record-keeping system is important. First of all, it saves time - and time is money. More and more documentation is now needed to do simple things like renewing a driver's license. Getting that documentation together is much less stressful when you know exactly where each document is located.
Also consider what you would do in an emergency. What if you had to suddenly leave your home? Would your irreplaceable personal information be protected? Would your documents be accessible if you had only a few minutes to pack and go?
This month we challenge you to review, develop, or strengthen your record-keeping system for quick access in any situation.
Be sure to connect with us online where we will be continuing the conversation with resource highlights, tips, and other interesting information to help you find and develop the best record-keeping system for your lifestyle.
Don't forget to also check the list of events and workshops below. There are tons of free and low-cost opportunities across the state to help you save money and build wealth.
Happy Saving!
