Do you have difficulty hearing the readings and sermons on Sundays?
The parish has invested in a hearing amplification system that works with or without a hearing aid!   We have 12 lavaliere receivers available. They are worn around the neck, with a speaker placed over the ear.  The device has volume control buttons to adjust to your hearing needs.  Sit anywhere in the church with a direct line of sight to the altar... And you will clearly hear priests, deacons and lectors... all at no charge, just return the equipment at the end of Mass.

Just stop by the Hearing Assist station in the gathering area before Mass. The ushers will help you sign out a device.

If you have questions you may call Mike Sliclen at 614-519-6972; or Dan Schreibeis at 614-578-2363

Did You Know: Stone Carving Custom Made by St. Brigid Craftsman

Jack Donald Oliver, a modest person and infinitely talented craftsman, passed away February 20, 2018, from cancer at age 57.

Jack enjoyed a variety of artistic mediums-stained glass, stone, food, paint and wood.  He created, drew and carved decorative and functional works of beauty.  He lovingly created artworks for family and friends over many years.  St. Brigid of Kildare is one of the unique places where Jack's work is proudly displayed.

The large stone carving over the Hendricks Hall doors was created by Jack.  It consists of an image of St. Brigid holding her torch along with icons pertaining to her life and patronage.  A rope encircles the perimeter, representing her role as patron saint of sailors, entwined with oak leaves and acorns, symbolizing her primitive bower.  Also depicted is an oak tree, the symbol of Bishop Emeritus James A. Griffin and an open book, representing her patronage of education.  The symbol of the parish school is inscribed on the book.
