#PasstheGlass Campaign Celebrates World Milk Day Across the U.S.
June Dairy Month started off strong with the #PasstheGlass and #UndeniablyDairy campaign where producers and industry friends from across the U.S. raised a glass to celebrate World Milk Day. Click here to see the coverage of #passtheGlass. SUDIA staff joined in the celebration as well by raising a glass of milk to toast the special day!
Alabamians Celebrate June Dairy Month
June Dairy month has been celebrated by many across the state. SUDIA was happy to help with two of these events that were held on June 10th. The 2nd annual Middleton Dairy Day proved to be a success with over 600 visitors. The event had everything from milking demonstrations to ice cream making, bouncy houses and even the Azalea Trail Maids. SUDIA staff members were on hand to help out and share facts about dairy with all the families that walked through. Further North in Tuscaloosa, visitors at the Children's Hands On Museum celebrated Moosie the milkable cow's 1st birthday. You may recall that the new barn and milkable cow held its grand opening last June.

Dairy in the Media
SUDIA staff member Laura Marbury has been busy the past few months with media interviews and articles. She finished out last month with an appearance on Huntsville's WAAY Hometown News. Marbury's interview focused on "Mindful Eating for Mom's to Be" which provided great tips to help increase calcium in your diet. To help viewers put these great tips to work, Marbury shared recipes including a strawberry yogurt smoothie, avocado hummus made with yogurt and a steak and feta salad.
