SCHOOL IS OUT FOR THE SUMMER (ALMOST)!

As you prepare for a few months off from school, we hope your family will have opportunities to kick back and enjoy your favorite book or two! But, before you launch into the summer break, please read below for what you need to know this summer and some exciting moments that made us #tosaproud.

Summer School...it's not too late
 A reminder that Summer School 2017 starts June 19th! And, it's not too late to participate. If you missed the May 1st online registration deadline, you can call 414-773-3200 to enroll your child.

Do you have a child who will be a first time student in the Wauwatosa School District? Make sure they are registered so that they can start school successfully this fall! Summer registration is handled at the Fisher Administration Office. Click below for full details.

Wauwatosa theatre programs recognized with Tommy Awards
Students and staff from Wauwatosa East and West High Schools have once again been recognized for their work in theatre through the 2017 Tommy Awards program!

A special congratulations to the Tosa West Trojan Players who were awarded an Outstanding Musical Tommy for the 4th consecutive year!
Wauwatosa School District students earn first place finish in global competition
Students from the Wauwatosa School District had a strong showing in the Destination Imagination Global Finals May 24-27 in Knoxville, Tenn., with a first place, a second place and a 10th place finish!

More than 1,400 teams from 45 U.S. states and 17 countries competed by presenting their creative solutions to one of six challenges at the Global Finals. Within each challenge, there were three different age groups for teams to compete in. For info about the teams and pictures, read below!

WSD represented in state tournaments for spring sports
Congratulations to all of our Wauwatosa athletes who earned a trip to state in their respective sports:

East & West High Schools named among "America's Most Challenging"
The Washington Post has named both Wauwatosa School District high schools – East and West – on its annual “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” list. Just 34 high schools in Wisconsin made the list. Read more below.

Four students named 2017 National Merit Scholars
Two more high school seniors from the Wauwatosa School District have been named 2017 National Merit Scholars and are recipients of this year’s college-sponsored Merit Scholarships.

Wauwatosa East High School seniors Michaela Lonski and Charlotte Utschig are among the 3,200 winners from around the country announced this week. West's Simon Ng and Adam Fendos were announced as Merit Scholars last month. Click the link below to read more!
