ALFREDO'S SUMMER BEACH PARTY FAMILY FUN DAY

Alfredo's Beach Club will be holding a week full of events for their Summer Kick-off Festival. Wednesday June 24th is "The Center Day at the Beach"; all revenue generated by biking, skating, kayaking, Stand Up Paddle or pedal boats will be donated to the Center.
Free Alfredo's Beach Club memberships will also be available. It's a great day to enjoy the beach!

The Supreme Court is expected to rule on marriage equality between June 23 and June 30. The rally will take place no matter what the outcome. This event is entirely free and open to the public.
Leaders from the Long Beach LGBTQ community will open the rally along with local elected leaders who will be in attendance to share their thoughts on the impact of this unprecedented ruling and it
s nation-wide effect on LGBTQ couples. The offices of Long Beach Law will also present legal analysis describing the impact of this ruling on LGBTQ people locally and across the United States.
The rally will take place in the plaza at the Long Beach Civic Center just outside City Hall. Paid parking is available in the Civic Center lot accessible at Broadway and Cedar. Our Health Services team will be testing at the Walgreens located at the corner of Anahiem St. and Redondo Ave. on June 25-27.

Intergenerational Discussion Panel: How Ageism Effects Young and Old
Join us at our Senior Services Committee's second Intergenerational Conversation Panel that opens the lines of communication between the generations and attempts to fill the gap in our LGBTQ community. This panel will discuss how ageism impacts both the young and old as well as open a dialogue on how the word "OLD" impacts us as a community. Panelists will include as many gender identities and sexual orientations as possible. Audience participation is welcome and encouraged.
Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Limited parking behind the building.

It's almost that time of year again! Save the date for this year's QFilms, the only LGBTQ-focused film festival in Long Beach.
This year's lineup will open at the Art Theatre the evening of Thursday, September 10th. An Opening Night party will take place between screenings at The Center.
Stay tuned for the announcement of features and shorts screening at this year's Festival! All films will be screened at the Art Theatre next door to The Center.
