Garden Workdays Recap
This month, community gardeners, community volunteers, and Community  Garden Committee members came together to clean up the community garden sites and prepare them for the 2017 growing season! Many hands came together to weed the sites, spread mulch, and lay compost on the beds. A big Thank You! to everyone that came out to make these sites look wonderful!
Community gardeners spread mulch at the First Presbyterian Church site.
Everyday Wellness: Empowering You!
Last month, Laura was the keynote speaker at the Marshfield Clinic Everyday Wellness: Empowering You Seminar.

Laura beginning her presentation at the Everyday Wellness Seminar.
Participants learned about setting SuPeR SMART goals, which are goals that are:

Self Controllable:
the goal must be within your control
Specific:
the goals are clear and precise

Measurable:
progress on the goal can be measured

Public:
the goal is made visible and/or known to others

Adjustable:
the goals (both short- and long-term) should be flexible

Realistic:
the goal should be attainable

Rewarded:
reward yourself for reaching short- and long-term goals

Time-Based:
the goal should include dates, timelines, or frequencies

(source: Donatelle & Thompson, 2011)

Try the SuPeR SMART guidelines the next time you set a short- or long-term goal and share your story with us through email or on our Facebook page.
