NAMI Four Seasons really needs your help. Please consider volunteering as a board member. We have four positions that need filling immediately and four positions for three year terms.

We have worked so hard to establish relationships within the community and have NAMI Four Seasons recognized as a volunteer organization that supports, educates and advocates for those living with mental illness and their families.

A charismatic speaker who was named an N.C. Recovery Champion of the year in 2013. He is passionate about recovery because for 27 years drugs and alcohol ruled his life. He has now been free of alcohol and drugs for more than 10 years and is a husband, father, youth pastor and Little League coach.

It's potluck...Again!

   

Our 3rd Potluck...

Monday, July 18, 6 p.m.

NAMI members and friends are encouraged to come. The Planation Walk Clubhouse was originally a farmhouse and is a beautiful venue for our summer potluck. NAMI Four Seasons will provide a tray of sandwich fixings. Please help feed the crowd. We need sides, salads, sweet tea and desserts.

We will have an update on NAMI Four Seasons latest happenings and upcoming events.

Directions to potluck, Plantation Walk Clubhouse: From the center of Hendersonville, take 64 west (Brevard Rd.) toward Brevard. Go about one mile to intersection of Blythe and 64, at the corner of Grace Lutheran Church, and turn right. Go about 0.6 of a mile and turn left into Plantation Walk community onto Belvidere Ct. Go straight through first intersection to an immediate left, the turn for the Clubhouse. Drive up the hill to the farmhouse, which is the Clubhouse.
 

Community Board Game Night

Community Board Game Night offered by our friends at Full Circle Counseling and Wellness for those living with mental illness, enjoy an evening in tranquil surroundings.

Unplug and join us for board game night! We tend toward some of the more obscure games like Smash Up or Dominion, but we're certainly open to other games. Feel free to bring your favorite game to share!

New Dual Recovery Support Group

Second and fourth Wednesdays of every month 7 - 8:30 p.m.
(Next meeting June 22)

Explores the relationship between mental health issues, substance use and sustained recovery.Group discussions will revolve around Individual Story Telling, Coping Skills, Self-Care,Recovery Toolbox, Social Skills, Managing Emotional Distress, Interpersonal Relationships,Role and Use of Medication, Community Involvement and Educational Presentations.Facilitators are Dan Grunau and/or Kevin Mahoney .Grunau is a Certified Peer Support Specialist who is Program Director for a number of Asheville recovery homes that specialize in dual diagnosis recovery. Kevin Mahoney is a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist. He also has certification in Morale Reconation Therapy (MRT), Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), and CCAR Recovery Coach.
