The 2012-2035 Regional Transportation Plan includes more than $500 billion of investments in a variety of transportation infrastructure, including bus rapid transit, light rail, bikeways, commuter rail, sidewalk improvements, goods movement improvements and extending High-Occupancy Vehicle freeway lane systems.
When fully implemented, SCAG officials say, the Regional Transportation Plan could produce 500,000 jobs annually, reduce greenhouse gases nine percent by 2020 and 16 percent by 2035, and reduce traffic delays by one-third.
This presentation will highlight the new element of sustainable communities strategy, which demonstrates the integration of land use, transportation strategies and transportation investments. Please join us!
