updateImportant Wintix update

Here's a look at some of the latest updates in Wintix:

  • Performance summary report removed null values from the data generated.
  • When printing tickets on some computers, if the printer is not on, Wintix will now display a message: "Printer not ready."
  • Email form will save multiple lines.
  • Removing duplications from the customer list now displays an hourglass while retrieving duplicates, so you can see it's in progress.
  • Quicksale: Removed the best available check box and deleted the select seats button for easier operation.
remoteeventSelling tickets at a remote event without Wintix
It's summertime and that means a lot of outdoor festivals and plays are happening. Are you are holding events where your computer (and Wintix) aren't available? You can set up Wintix to sell tickets at the door, then record the sales accurately when you are back in your box office. Click here to for complete step-by-step instructions.
phonenumberDecide how phone numbers should look in Wintix

Parentheses. Dashes. Spaces. It's all up to you how you want phone numbers to display in Wintix. All you have to do is "force" a particular format in Wintix.

Go to File | Initialization | Options 2 tab.

You can input a format any way you'd like.

For example, if you enter it as (XXX) XXX-XXXX, that's how the phone number will be input when adding a new customer or updating an existing one.

You could also enter it as XXX-XXX-XXXX or XXXXXXXXXX, whatever you choose.

Here is what all these mysterious characters in those fields mean:

X = any character
! = capitalized
9 = number only

If you input 999-999-9999 XXXXXXXXXXXX into the format field, that will allow you to input phone numbers in a particular format plus give you room for a few notes.

featureDo you use this Wintix feature?

We are considering removing the checkbox in this screen shot (Select seats on a seating chart by clicking) because we can accomplish the same result by right-clicking the mouse to group select seats in a much more efficient way. Let us know your thoughts. Send an email to [email protected]. Thanks!
