We had ten days of British sunshine on our 2016 English Garden Tour. Brollies were ready and the sprinkles, when they came, were at night. We enjoyed bright blue skies, blooming gardens and a cadre of lovely women. It doesn't get any better. Everyone enjoyed the varying highlights from this trip including The Chelsea Flower Show, Touring The Cotswolds, Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Tea at The Ritz, Kew Gardens and more. Our 2017 English Garden and Chelsea Flower Show Tour is now online and reservations are open. This trip always fills early so I suggest you reserve soon if you plan to join us in May 2017 and savour the gardens of England.

My husband and I recently went to Vermont to check out an inn that has been beautifully restored. They have hired an outstanding chef and the property is amongst buildings on our National Historic Register. Quite simply, a small gem that is now lovingly tended. We will enjoy two nights there amidst the hills of Southern Vermont as we tour back roads and villages in peak foliage season. We met the chef and I am looking forward to the seasonal ingredients will he be putting on the menu when we dine there.

Shoes are the worst culprit when packing and yet we need at least three pairs when traveling. My daughters would say 3 is the minimum. Wear the heaviest and most comfortable. Sandals help with summer travel but it is good, when walking on cobbled streets or lanes, to have real shoes. Walking shoes are probably one of the most important items to pack. Packing light means taking less. Taking less makes packing light easier. When asked about our dress style for our trips, it's country club casual which manages to take us around the world.

Far from the crowds and high rise hotels of Mexico's well known Cancun lies a beach that appears untouched and a handful of assorted creative boutique lodging that offers a respite from the world of technology and routines and lets you ease into the rhythm of the sea. Join me as we explore this delightfully laid back and interesting locale in Mexico. Yes it's safe, yes it's beautiful and yes we snorkel. Yoga is available daily, spa treatments work wonders, and we will visit ancient Mayan ruins. We explore and unwind in this little piece of heaven on earth where relaxation is the vibe. The above photo is from my last visit to Tulum with my daughters. This is a perfect Mother and Daughter trip...Details will be published in July online and in our next newsletter.

Now is an excellent time to purchase Great British Pounds......lowest levels in decades....then you will be ready for a trip across the pond with us.
