Headlight Data just updated the information available on its Quarterly Economic Scorecard earlier this week, making it some of the most up-to-date job and industry data available for communities across the country.

Headlight's scorecards include the Quarterly Economic Scorecard, which compares job and industry performance on a quarterly basis by county, and the Economic Scorecard for Metros, which compares monthly job and industry performance by metro.

The Scorecard is available online and findings can be downloaded in image format, making it easy to share with your network or insert into a presentation.

June was the month of expansions and relocations for clients! Accent Food Services announced plans to expand and relocate their regional headquarters to Pflugerville, TX Pflugerville also made headlines when it announced that the City of Pflugerville, Pflugerville Fire Department, and Pflugerville CDC will join forces to provide funding for new infrastructure investments, allowing the construction of a new Baylor Scott & White Medical Center and Costco. (Congrats Amy and Christian!)

St. Louis-based Stadia Ventures visited Frisco, TX as part of its business accelerator program for sports and e-sports startups. Stadia Ventures chose Frisco because it is a " family-friendly, sports driven, innovation driven kind of town."   (Yes it is!  Go Dave, Jim and team!)

Moving out of Texas, our Strategic Plan for the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce made headlines last week when the LaGrange Daily News reported on our workforce analysis and strategy.

Montgomery County, part of the New River Valley VA region,  purchased 124 acres of land to expand the Falling Branch Industrial Park. Expanding the industrial park will help the NRVEDA attract more companies to the region.

Finally, Genpact, a professional services firm, announced plans to open a new delivery center in Jacksonville, FL. The expansion is expected to create 200 new jobs, and reflects Jacksonville's growing financial services industry, strong business climate, and wealth of talent. (Sending virtual high fives to Page, Charlie, Jerry, Cathy and everyone else who brought these projects to fruition!)

We can't believe the year is halfway over, and amazed by all of the incredible things our clients have accomplished in 2017.

We kicked off the month by facilitating a board retreat for the EDC of Sarasota County, FL . We discussed economic development trends and best practices from around the county, and helped the EDC's board prioritize activities for the year ahead. Tony and Chris traveled to LaGrange, GA to present a final draft of our Strategic Plan to the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce members. During the trip, they visited the THINC College & Career Academy and met some cool Kia robots! We finished up the month with our first trip to Atlanta to kick off the C ATL YST Strategy for the Atlanta Regional Commission. We also  rolled out Douglas County GA's strategic plan and led implementation workshops with their stakeholders - they are ready to take action!
