Welcoming the Newest Members to our Board of Directors

Arizona Autism United is pleased to introduce four new additions to our Board of Directors.
 
Nathan Leblang is the parent of a son with autism. Nathan is an architect and is employed by the Cuningham Group, a sponsor of AZA United. Nathan has been working closely with AZA United in the planning of the current and future offices.  
 
Neely Burkhardt is the parent of two children, one with autism. Neely is the Vice President of Marketing for Magellan Rx Management, a division of Magellan Health, a sponsor of AZA United. Neely has been a champion supporting AZA's mission for years, most recently as the Chairperson for AZA United's 2017 Caring Hearts Luncheon. 
 
Lynda McKay is the parent of a daughter and son. Her son was developmentally delayed and received various services, including ABA therapy, from a young age. Lynda is a Human Resources Consultant-Business Partner of her company HRextension. As an HR consultant, she has directly supported AZA United human resources initiatives for several years.  
 
Laurent Badoux is the parent of a son with autism. Laurent is an attorney with Buchalter and specializes in employment law. Laurent has been affiliated with AZA United for nearly 10 years.

Submit your Photos and Win a Prize

Enter our annual contest for families! Submit your photos to win a prize. Simply send us your high resolution photos to be part of our 2018 AZA Families photo collage. Prizes vary every year, last year's winners received tickets to the Polar Express Experience in Williams, AZ for their entire family.
 
This year's theme is I have grown. Choose your favorite picture of your child when he/she started their autism journey and one picture of your child now. Then please submit the following information with your entry: Age before & current age and a quote.
For example:  "My son was 2 years old when we began this journey; he is now 11 and thriving."
How to enter: Click here to upload your photos! Creativity is encouraged!  The deadline is Friday, July 13th.
 
Submit as many as you like! Send us the largest file size you have for best quality. Include your full name, email, and two sentences as you upload your photos.
 
AZA United may use submitted photos for different materials such as events, social media, etc. By entering the AZA United Photo Contest, you authorize AZA United to use photos submitted at AZA United's sole discretion.

Business Owner Making a Difference for AZA Families

Thank you Thomas DelFavero who through his business, DelFavero Decorating Service LLC , raised money for AZA United in the month of April. He supports our mission to help as many families as possible with individualized supports.  Thomas knows how critical it is that businesses invest in the families that we serve.

Does your child have difficulty riding a bike? We can help! AZA United owns a small fleet of Strider balance bikes of all sizes for families to borrow. These special balance bikes give kids the skills and confidence they need to learn to ride. Strider bikes are available for families to borrow, at no cost.
