ANDYZ Awards Deadline...

The 2nd Annual ANDYZ Awards deadline is tomorrow (Friday, June 3rd!) be sure to get your entries in for your chance to join our esteemed winners circle. Entering the ANDYZ Awards is easy head over to our chapter website ANDYZ Awards for all the details. To enter is a 5 step process: Step 1: pay the reasonable entry fee. Step 2: Select 5 photos from a design project. Step 3: Write a project summary 300 words. Step 4: Write a biography. Step 5: Correctly name files and upload for submission! Congratulations you've just entered the 2nd Annual ANDYZ Awards! Good Luck to all entering you're chances are looking good to those who have entered already!

Okay who needs a vacation to somewhere in Europe ? Yes! Sounds great but there's a little problem you have no money to pay for it. Wouldn't it be great to go somewhere in Europe without having to pay for the whole thing. Oh that would be nice huh...a trip to say maybe Spain. Well you're in luck join us on June 22nd at Cosentino Sacramento from 7-11pm for the ASID Foundation's Chapter Challenge and enter to win a TRIP TO SPAIN from Cosentino (only ASID members qualify for the trip)! Yes I did say Spain! Be there and bring your $25 to enter the chance drawing for a trip to Spain. I hope to see all the Sac Crew regulars and a bunch of you who we haven't seen in a while. I know it's a late event but carpool this is such a special event to raise money for us ASID plus a chance to win a TRIP TO SPAIN!!! Cosentino will be unveiling Dekton Colors and Coffee will be served! See you all there bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Las Vegas Showcase House

We invite all design professionals to submit their names for consideration in our 1st annual Las Vegas Showcase House. This year's historic home is located in the Scotch 80s neighborhood, a planned community dating back to the early 1950s and considered to be the center of old Las Vegas.

The Scotch 80s is known for ornate architecture featuring gigantic exposed beams and gracious porte cocheres. It's also noted for the greenery on charming streets like Shadow Lane, Silver Av enue, and Bannie Avenue. It's a place where people used to keep horses in barns and get water from wells.
A neighborhood that's long attracted casino titans, world-famous entertainers, and prominent Vegas power brokers, the Scotch 80s is remarkably quaint.

This year's selected home was permitted in 1959 and completed in 1961 by Walter Siebert. Setting on a 1.28 acre parcel, the 5,300 square foot concrete block home is sure to be a crowd pleaser and a designers dream. A full basement, a Las Vegas rarity, is just one of the many areas that will come alive by local design talent.

An estimated 18 designers will be selected, one for each room for the Showcase. Also entries are being accepted for landscape architects, contractors, vendors, manufacturers can all participate.

The ANDYZ Awards celebrate the year's best Interior Design. Interior Designers, Architects, and Design Students are encouraged to submit their best work. A panel of Professional ASID Designers will judge the projects, and the winners are announced during a celebration at Las Vegas Summer Market on July 31st 2016.

The ANDYZ Awards are open to all Designers and Design Firms within the Western Region (California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado)

Deadline: Entries must be received by June 3rd, 2016 by 11:59pm PST.

One project winner will be selected for each category, and the winners will be notified on or before July 1st, 2016. All winners are required to attend the ANDYZ Annual Celebration in July (responsible for your own travel expenses).
