One this day, April 30, 1950 Babe Didrikson-Zaharias wins the LPGA 144 hole Weathervane event. The 144 Hole Weathervane was a transcontinental golf tournament which was contested in various cities across the United States. This particular event was played at Pebble Beach, the next thirty-six holes were to be contested at Sky Crest Country Club in Chicago, IL. From there they would play thirty-six at Ridgewood Country Club in Cleveland, then finish it off at Knollwood Country Club in White Plains, NY.
