HPL After Dark: Sunnyside Up
Bring family, friends, neighbors, and a picnic dinner to Memorial Hall Lawn for some summertime fun! Sit back, relax, and enjoy Sunnyside Up , a bluegrass band that incorporates elements of jazz, rock, and traditional music to create an energetic acoustic show. Refreshing summer drinks and treats will be provided.

Hinsdale Alum Studies How Kids View Rule Breakers
June 18-23

James Dunlea, Hinsdale native and Psychology doctoral candidate at Columbia University, will be conducting research at the Library that investigates how children perceive those who commit moral transgressions. Children ages 6-8 (with their caregivers) are invited to participate in a 10-15 minute research study. For more info, or to register your child, contact Ridgeway Burns at [email protected] .

Backpacking Gems of the Midwest
The experts from REI will take the mystery out of Midwest Backpacking with an overview of planning, preparation, and gear. Along with local information, learn how to choose a pack and select proper clothing and footwear. Plus, we’ll give you important notes on trail etiquette and Leave No Trace principles.
