Virtual Community School of Ohio honored the Class of 2016 at a graduation ceremony held at Ohio Christian University
in Circleville, Ohio on Saturday, June 4th.
The 43 graduates make up VCS Ohio's 14th graduating class of students residing across Ohio.

While we were preparing to watch the Class of 2016 receive their diplomas, we were able to interview a few graduates, parents, and others associated with VCS! These videos will be popping up on our Facebook page over the next weeks.

Help us reach our new goal of 10,000 pages
read over 6 weeks!
In just ONE week we met and exceeded our original goal of reading 1,500 pages! As of Monday, June 28
th
, VCS students had read 3,254 pages!
In light of this amazing news, we have created a new goal of 10,000 pages! That breaks down to 2,000 pages each week for the 5 weeks we have left in this challenge!

Please include parent/guardian and student(s) names, a phone number, and an email address.
Email or text Amy with the book title(s), author and number of pages you read in each book by Friday each week.
Each grade level will have a winner based on most pages read who will then be entered into a raffle for the Grand Prize: a Kindle Fire HD!

Career Tech Pathway
Many of our students go on to pursue career in Information Technology. In order to better prepare them for this field of study, we will now offer a new pathway which includes courses in Design Techniques, Creating and Editing, and Digital Graphics!
These courses can also count as college credit at
Columbus State once a student has passed another course there!

Lupa and Miah are growing up fast! Aren't they cute together? VCS adopted these wolf pups that are now in the care of the Southern Ohio Wolf Sanctuary. The wolf is VCS Ohio's mascot.
Southern Ohio Wolf Sanctuary, Inc. is having its first ever kids' coloring contest!

2016 Student Awards Ceremony
|

|
Our end of the year awards ceremony honored many students for their accomplishments. Along with those inducted into NHS/NJHS, 3rd-8th grade students were given President's Education Awards. This program has been recognizing student excellence and achievement since 1983. Students who receive this award have a 3.5+ GPA and show high motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and exceptional judgment. We are proud of all of the VCS Students who were recognized at this year's ceremony!
