When we look back on our own childhoods, the happy memories of camping, swimming, visiting family, and just hanging with friends always fills the heart with joy. You may recall a family member or a teacher reading with you, such titles as “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Three Little Pigs,” and the list goes on with the classics. Yet today we rely on technology to stream this or download that to fill our children's time. We at RO are encouraging reading with our children to help build their dreams so they can grow, motivate and experience relationships. Creating happy childhood memories for our children is a building block in growth and is an act of love.
Like everything else in life, reading with our kids is much more likely to happen if it becomes part of our routine. It takes about 6–8 weeks to build a habit good or bad, so why not make it a good one? We encourage you to read any and all of the children classics also include reading the Bible with your children. They will be inspired, motivated and develop stronger values.
Enjoy our summer and read with Love!
