Congratulations to Emilee Wills,
June's Swimoutlet.com Swimmer of the Month

Emilee Wills from the Arizona AquaStars has been named the SwimOutlet.com June swimmer of the month by USA Synchro. Wills, 17, will be a senior at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona where she maintains a 3.77 GPA and qualified for the 2011 Arizona State High School Swimming Championships in the 100 free.

 

As a synchro swimmer, "Emilee is a shining example of what alls ynchronized swimmers should be. Not only does she have a tremendous work ethic, but she comes to the pool demonstrating a positive attitude for all her teammates, especially the younger swimmers on the team. Additionally, Emilee is a mentor to young swimmers helping them with figures,and motivation,"says coach, Jill Parr.

 

Emilee spends her summers volunteering with the Cityof Mesa's recreational synchronized swimming program and has served as theArizona state representative for USASynchro Convention. She was recently appointed as the Athlete Representative for Competitive Operations and after suffering a severe concussion last season, Emilee is an athlete advocate for concussion education. She loves meeting synchronized swimmers

as well as all water sport athletes from across the country! She aspires to be on the

2016 Olympic Team and plans to swim in college where she wants to pursue a career in physical therapy.

USA Synchro is based in Indianapolis and serves as the National Governing Body for the sport of

synchronized swimming, appointed as such by the United States Olympic Committee. It is a membership based and not-for-profit organization which services the sport from the grass roots level to the National

Team. The mission statement of USA Synchro is "to provide leadership and resources for the promotion and growth of synchronized swimming, to achieve competitive excellence at all levels and to develop broad based participation."
