JA Career Bound Graduate Shines as Intern at MassMutal
Junior Achievement of South Florida Board Member Erik Sussman, President of MassMutual South Florida, personally interviewed JA Career Bound students earlier this year, and he immediately hired Joshua McFarlane as in intern.
Joshua spent most of his days with Erik:
- Participating in "Level 10" executive meetings
- Observing compliance meetings
- Witnessing upper management interviews
- Joining top management in financial planning sessions
- Taking part in day-to-day operations of the financial company
"I am so grateful Junior Achievement helped me land this internship opportunity. Everyone at MassMutual was kind and welcoming. They gave me the ability to absorb knowledge and real work experiences. Mr. Sussman is an incredible mentor," said Joshua.
