Guest Violinist at Tonight's Taizé Worship
Taizé worship, inspired by the Taizé Christian community in France, is a calm, centering worship in the beautiful, historic Sanctuary at Trinity United Methodist Church. (17 South Ash Street/ across from BuyGo.)
 Tonight, violinist Joe Henderson will be accompanying Joan’s piano. The service begins at 6:00PM and is always the first Sunday of the month.
If you have never experienced our beautiful Taize worship, we invite you to come, tonight, and spend some quiet, thoughtful time with God!
2. Back-to-School Events: Kid's Back-to School Party, Friday & Blessing of the Backpacks/ CCW, NEXT SUNDAY
School Starts Friday!
Our Youth Group invites all kids to celebrate going back to school Friday, August 10th at 6:00PM in the Multipurpose Room for games, pizza, and fun! All kids invited - parents can drop their kids - unless they are PreK or younger (then please stay).

Next Sunday is going to be filled with blessings, worship, and music at Memorial!!
Blessing of the Backpacks: Children are invited to bring their backpacks to worship to be blessed during the Children's Message. They will be given a backpack tag from the church, to send them to school knowing their church loves and is praying for them. We will also recognize and pray over the teachers in our congregation.
CCW Leading Worship: Campus to City Wesley (CCW) the college campus ministry for Northeast Florida, will be leading worship at all three services Sunday, August 12th. CCW's worship team is led by Derrick Scott who will share his voice and message with us. You won't want to miss this worship team and their wonderful music!

Special Collection for CCW The Northeast District is also asking churches to take up a special collection for CCW. They are in need of financial donations or gift cards in any denomination to Publix, Costco, and Walmart to help them with their ministry. You can bring donations or gift cards to worship and place them in the offering plate (marked for CCW) and the pastors will deliver them to CCW.
3. Chrismon-Making Workshop #1 is Saturday!
Join Our Chrismon-Making Workshops, Saturday, August 11 th  & Saturday, August 18 th  from 10:00AM -12:00PM in the Multipurpose Room. This workshop is open to adults and youth (grades 6th & up.) Completed Chrismons will be placed on one of our Chrismon trees during Advent. Participants will have help from experienced leaders and Joan will provide a brief history of Chrismons.
