It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed- Teddy Rosevelt

A Letter from Amy
It is with a heavy heart but my head held high that I write to tell you that I will be closing the studio as of December 31, 2017.

I wanted to bring meditation mainstream. I wanted people to be more present in their own lives and the world around them. I wanted parents to stop watching their children’s choral performances through the video function on their phone and just be present to enjoy the experience. I wanted to ratchet the stress level of our community down to a more manageable level; one where the horns on the streets honk less. A world where folks can enjoy a meal sans technology and we all feel a little more compassion to those around us regardless of who they are, where they come from, where they live/work, or who they love.

I believed that if I built they would come. Unfortunately, not enough of them came. Those that did were wonderful and I cherish all the wonderful connections I have made.

I still believe that meditation is next big thing. In 5 or 10 years we will all look back and say we were part of its beginning. But right now we are just too far ahead of the curve and I just can’t get us there.

So, the time has come to call it.

As Maya Angelou said “ You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
I will rise again and I hope you will continue to sit.

With gratitude,

Amy
