A Note From Your Kindergarten Teachers
Kindergarten Connections
March 30th, 2017
Dear Families,

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us last week. It certainly does take a village, and your clear communication during our conversations helps us to better serve your children on their k indergarten journeys. Philosopher George Santayana put it quite well: "A child educated only at school is an uneducated child." When we work together as we have done, your children rise to great heights.

Believe it or not, we have only ten weeks left of the school year. Be sure to enjoy these last few months of kindergarten with your child - it goes by quickly!

What We Have Been Learning
Ask Your Child About

Talking with your child is the best way to support classroom learning. The following questions can help you get started.

  • What challenges might our fry face when we release them next week?
  • What are cuisenaire rods? What do the colors mean? How can you make 6?

  • Review: What sound does each letter make?

If you've got these items around the house, please bring them in!
  • Worn out button-down shirts (adult-sized) to use as smocks for painting

  • Yarn
