Stories & More ICN sessions are interactive, educational and fun! During the session we read stories, watch short videos, sing songs, discuss and do activities. Participating in ICN sessions is a great way to get children excited about technology as well as our various topics.

Grades K-4
 What makes an insect an insect? This lively presentation teaches students about the characteristics and adaptations of these tiny creatures. Live insects and Q&A make this a valuable learning experience.
Off to College: What Every Student Should Know
Grades 10-12
Dr. Vicki Edelnant, First-Year Experience Coordinator and Director of the Pathways Center at Wartburg College discusses questions with your students to help them make a well-informed decision and to prepare for college success.

Educators and all other school staff can earn the certificate required by Iowa Department of Education for relicensure!

ICN sessions are provided at NO COST by Iowa Public Television in collaboration with the Iowa Communications Network to PK-12 students and the adults working with or on behalf of PK-12 students in Iowa.
 
How to Register for an ICN Session

 

1. Go to the registration page by clicking "Learn more & register".

2. Read through the registration page, then click on "register here" at the very bottom of the page.

3. Follow the step by step directions.

 

For most sessions, you are welcome to request an ICN room in any school, AEA, or public library in Iowa, so choose one that's most convenient for you. Your request will go to an IPTV scheduler who will then email you back with a confirmation/denial. If you are denied, IPTV is happy to help you find a room that will work.
