MAZAL TOV 2017 GRADUATES!
Last Friday at Kabbalat Shabbat, students and faculty offered farewell blessings and special memories of their time spent with the graduating eighth graders.
We are very proud of them and wish them well in their future endeavors.

FROM OUR CLASSROOMS
We were fortunate to have alumnus Zachary Schwartz(class of 2008) here to speak with our students about his commitment to tikkun olam. Zachary is one of the two 2017 recipients of the Adam Madorsky Social Justice Alumni Award.
He challenged our students to find something they love to do and turn it around to give back to their community.

ENGINEERING AND DESIGN DAY
Last week our students were given different challenges for designing and building structures that met specific requirements. They practiced science, math, teamwork, creative thinking and building skills.  The outcomes were thoughtful and even the failed designs taught our students important engineering lessons.
CRADLES TO CRAYONS DRIVE
Grades 4-8 will be visiting Cradles to Crayons on June 14.

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.

Our students will be collecting items to contribute to the KidPacks that Cradles to Crayons provide to the families .

There will be a collection box in the vestibule of Cohen Hillel Academy until June 13. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
CHAGIGAT HA'SIDDUR
During a beautiful ceremony with their parents, each first grade student received his/her first siddur which included a personalized inscription and dedication.
