NEWS
ARTHUR J. EPSTEIN HILLEL SCHOOL
On Sunday, August 27, a standing room only crowd gathered on our front plaza to witness the formal dedication of the Arthur J. Epstein Hillel School, formerly Cohen Hillel Academy. The moving ceremony included rabbis from across the north shore, members of Mr. Epstein’s family, past presidents of our Board of Directors, current Head of School Amy Gold, and an alumna speaking on behalf of the 800+ graduates. We are so grateful to Arthur Epstein...and to all those who have provided vision and support for our school for over 62 years.

FACULTY COMMUNITY SERVICE
EHS is proud of our commitment to Tikkun olam and w e feel strongly about leading by example. Our staff volunteered at Lifebridge in Salem during our faculty week.

Lifebridge’s mission is to end the crisis of homelessness. They work towards solving this crisis, one person at a time, by providing housing with supportive services, to encourage personal and income development, and stability in physical and mental health.

SHINSHINIM
We are excited to welcome this year's Shinshinim into our community. Bar and Shira are CJP’s Boston-Haifa 2017-18 Shinshinim Young Ambassadors. The Hebrew term Shin-shin means “year of service.” Bar and Shira both grew up in Haifa, Israel, where they recently graduated high school – Bar from Leo Baeck, and Shira from Ironi Hey.

Bar and Shira are spending this year in Boston, sharing their Israeli perspective through programs and activities and forming connections with our community.

They will be teaching and spending time with our students once per week.

Please take the time to view their video.

MANY THANKS FOR 10 YEARS OF SERVICE
We wanted to let our community know that Rich Perkins will not be returning as our school custodian. To accommodate our growing needs and to ensure coverage for the many hours our school is open, we are partnering with the JCC for facilities support. We are grateful for Rich's years of commitment and dedication to our students and staff and wish him the best.
