KAYLA ADAMS' Smokin' Hot
"Sober & Sorry" Video Premieres Today On THE BOOT

Montana Native Returned To Flathead Valley To Shoot Debut Music Video

Nashville, TN (September 10, 2014) - Montana native KAYLA ADAMS' smokin' hot "Sober & Sorry" music video premieres globally today on THE BOOT.  The blonde bombshell returned to her Flathead Valley stomping grounds to shoot the companion piece to her hit single, "Sober & Sorry" (SSM Entertainment).  The clip was Produced by Huntley Ridder (Bring It On, We Are Marshall, The Third Nail; founder Hatch Fest) and Directed by Montana-based Yarrow Kraner (DIRECTV, KEEN Footwear, Columbia Records; founder of Chisel Industries and Hatch Fest) for Stafford Multimedia.  It is a first-class offering for this up-and-coming singer/songwriter.

Key scenes were shot at Casey's Bar in Whitefish, and moody lighting combines with fog machine vapors to instill a rock edge to the performance.  Kayla's star-power wardrobe (provided by The Buckle), flashy guitar and "take no prisoners" stance dispel any notions that this is just another nave girl from the Montana back country.  "It's a "revenge-y song, a girl power song. Boys, be scared," Adams shouted to the crowd before launching into the first take.  An Airstream trailer on a farm outside of town finds Kayla throwing her ex's treasured possessions into a vengeance-fueled fire.

While it might have been more cost-effective to film the video in Nashville, Adams fought for a Montana location.  "It will be the first thing a lot of people see of me," she notes.  "It was important to me that they see where I'm from."  The single's producer, Dean Scallan, agreed.  "Where she was raised is just such a big part of who she is," he observes.  "The locations were great and the people were fantastic."  Over 40 locals, friends and family members volunteered to be extras in the video, and they cheered wildly every time the song was played over the loudspeakers.  "Kayla looked like she was burning up the stage," he adds.

The "Sober & Sorry" video is just the latest achievement for Adams.  The 24-year-old is already a veteran of years on the stage - as both a band member and solo performer - in her home state and throughout the U.S.  To date, Kayla has shared the stage with Kellie Pickler, Rodney Atkins, LL Cool J, Heidi Newfield, and Smashmouth.  She has attended both Belmont University (Nashville) and the famed Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music (Hollywood).  She recently kicked off the Mountain Madness Airshow in Kalispell with a performance at a Pre-Flight Party for the USAF Thunderbirds, and she's currently writing songs with Nashville's top tunesmiths for her debut CD.
