KBA Chairman-Elect David Brinkley - Health Update
Cancer Free!
|
As most of you know from our first announcement on 10/27/2017, KBA Chairman-Elect David Brinkley has been been battling cancer.
His first surgery was the morning of 10/27/17 with a Da Vinci robot to remove 2 tumors found in his neck and a second surgery occurred on the morning of 11/29/2017.
Please read the following health update that we received from David this morning, 12/8/2017. David is now cancer free!!
"
Good Morning!
I am thrilled to announce that the aggressive plan to treat my cancer has paid off. Wednesday my good friends at Markey Cancer Center in Lexington said that I was now cancer free! I can tell you that it was quite a relief to know that this was a short battle. We will remain cautiously optimistic as we approach the future but for now, we are going to celebrate!
I can't say enough about the cards, letters, calls, emails, and texts of support from my fine broadcaster friends throughout the Commonwealth. I not only heard from GMs but many staff members and former colleagues stepped up to provide support through this challenging time. I know that I could not have made this journey work without the help of my wife, God, and my friends' support.
Thank you all for all that you have done! This just proves that the KBA is full of the best people on the planet. God Bless all of you!
Thanks again!
David"
Continued Prayers David! If you would like to send David any words of
encouragement
