|The KBA is now accepting registrations for the 2017 KBA Conference, October 9-10, 2017 at the historic Galt House Hotel, located at 140 North Fourth Street, Louisville, KY 40202. The hotel is in the heart of the Derby City and easily accessible to Fourth Street Live, Louisville Slugger Museum and so much more!
We have some great events planned for you. Take a tour to Maker's Mark Distillery, ride on the Belle of Louisville, gain valuable resources and training from experts in the field.
Each week, we will be highlighting an aspect of the conference to keep our members informed. This year, we are also integrating a KBA Conference APP whereby you can access events, schedules, speaker bios and receive push notifications at your fingertips.

ALL MEDIA INVITED TO THE KENTUCKY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME RIBBON CUTTING AND TICKETS ON SALE NOW FORTHE INDUCTION CELEBRATION TO BE HELD JULY 22nd-
All broadcasters are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame (KHSBHF) set for Noon (EST) on Friday, July 21. The facility is located at 212 West Dixie Avenue, Elizabethtown, KY.
The ceremonial opening culminates the $1.7M building project. Elizabethtown Mayor, Edna Berger will be joined by several business leaders, current members of the Hall of Fame, KHSBHF sponsors and civic leaders. Mayor Berger and Hall of Fame Sports Journalist, Billy Reed, will provide remarks at the ribbon-cutting before opening the doors for all invited guests and media to explore. The one-of-a-kind facility will be the epicenter of Kentucky basketball and will honor the rich history and cultural significance of the sport in the Commonwealth.
The Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame (KHSBHF) Induction Celebration is scheduled for July 22
at the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown, KY. This is the sixth annual event.
There will be 18 inductees receiving this honor for the 2017 Centennial Class of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame and this will conclude the first 100 Inductees. The event will begin at 5:30pm (EST). Tickets are on sale now.
The Induction Celebration begins at 5:30pm with a reception in the Wesbanco Gallery. The inductees and their families will arrive to sign autographs and meet the public. The Pre-Show and Celebration will begin at 7:15pm in the Theater.

The week of June 19-23, was a whirlwind of a training roadshow. Pat Bryson covered the areas of Paducah, Madisonville, Elizabethtown, Somerset, Prestonsburg, Morehead, Pikeville and Frankfort, Kentucky.
Overall, over 150 member stations and staff participated.
KBA Conference Reimbursements 2017
The KBA Board met at the KBA Headquarters on Thursday, January 26, 2017. As a result, members voted on conference reimbursements for 2017. The conference reimbursements are as follows:
- Up to $1,000 Small Market Exchange
- Up to $399 Country Radio Show
- Up to $1,000 NAB Show
- Up to $1,000 for the NAB Radio Show
Attendees of these events must provide KBA staff with a copy of their name badge and receipts of all expenses. Please be advised you have 60 days from the close of the event to turn in your reimbursements. Thank you!
