November 2015 Edition
Dear Beloved,

Welcome to our newsletter. We apologise for the delay in getting this to you.

We love this opportunity to connect with you all. We hope you will be blessed as the Lord ministers to you through In His Presence.

There is so much happening spiritually as Father God positions us for greater works. Positioning comes with lots of challenges, and re- structuring, but Father God wants us all to be assured that He who has started a good work, will bring it to completion.

In His Presence

KEEP YOUR ISAAC ALIVE.

God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah that they would have a son with whom He would establish His everlasting covenant and with his seed after him. (Genesis 17:19-21) Sarah laughed when she heard this because she had given up hope of having children. Sarah became pregnant when she was 90 and Abraham was 100. Their son was called Isaac, "laughter". God had made true His Covenant or solemn pledge through this birth and therefore Isaac was a child of Promise.

When Isaac was young, God tested Abraham by telling him to take this son, whom he loved, and to go to the land of Moriah to sacrifice him as a burnt offering there on one of the mountains He would show him. (Genesis 22:1-19) Abraham did not question God's assignment and obeyed quickly. Early the next morning, he set out on the journey with Isaac, two trusted guides, and firewood - Sometimes, I wonder if he told his wife??

After journeying three days, Abraham told his servants to wait with the donkey so he could go on ahead with his son to worship. He gave the wood to Isaac to carry and together they went off, with him carrying the knife and the fire pot. When they had gone some way, Isaac asked his father, "See, here are the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt sacrifice?" Abraham answered, "God will provide Himself a lamb for the burnt offering".

When they came to the place which the Lord told him, Abraham built an altar there, laid the wood in order, bound Isaac, his son, and placed him on the altar. Then Abraham took hold of the knife to kill his son.

At this point, an Angel called him from heaven sa
ying Abraham had proved that he feared God as he did not hold his son back from God. As Abraham looked up, there was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns, so he untied his son and instead offered up the ram. Abraham called this place, 'The Lord will provide'. Then God spoke to Abraham a second time, affirming the promises He had made to him. God promised that through Abraham's Seed (Christ) (Genesis 22:18), all nations would be blessed. We are grateful that because of all that Christ did on the cross for us, when we accept it, we are saved, and can work out our salvation with the help of the Holy Spirit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From this account, we see that God's ability to honour His promises, should never be in doubt . We however have to trust Him, and wait patiently during the time we are being positioned to receive it. The Lord works outside of time so He understands all that has to come together for the promise to be fulfilled. A lot of us have not even taken delivery of our Isaac (promise), because not only were we inpatient, but we stopped believing in Gods ability, thereby saying He is lying to us. Unbelief has killed our Isaac.( promise).

Secondly, sometimes, for the fulfilment of our promise, we need  to trust God by handing the promise back to Him. We see this in the story, and Abraham's ability to obey fully, showed He trusted God's ability to bring the fullness of all He had prophesied concerning him. If we allow, disobedience and distrust into our lives we are capable of short changing and killing our Isaac (promise.)

It is vital that we develop our spiritual senses to keep our Isaacs (promises) alive. Abraham had to listen and look to God for direction to know which mountain the Lord wanted him to sacrifice on, and where the alternative sacrifice had been placed. God is a provider, but sometimes, our location is so wrong that our Isaac does not stand a chance of surviving. (Psalm 32:9) if we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will end up in God's perfect place.

We are in a season where our prayer lives are under terrible attack. This is because the enemy knows that if he can keep us busy with distractions, we will not communicate regularly with He who gave us the promise. We will then not understand the purpose for the promise, and thus we stand no chance of walking in fulfilment of what we were destined to accomplish. By placing the highest value on intimacy with our Lord at this time, we will understand the purpose of our promises, and thus be empowered to work with God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
