,

Happy Mother's Day!!!
Happy Memorial Day!!!

Welcome to Key Insights Newsletter.

My father, Federico Padovan, moved our family (including grandparents) to Key Biscayne in 1973. I was raised  on the Island and left briefly to earn a BFA degree at NYU. But my heart was always here so I returned to my Island Paradise home where I am raising 4th generation Key Biscayners with my husband Donnie Hall.

As a life-long resident and Realtor on Key Biscayne, I love sharing upcoming events and Interesting activities offered around our community for the residents and frequent visitors of our Island  Paradise and beyond.

We also have three very lovely contributors adding their Insights as well!

They went to visit the houses that FHFH rebuilt after the hurricane and brought them donations of bedding, clothes and money for the orphanage with 90 children that have disabilities. FANTASTIC NEW BOOK
"NOT BUYING IT"
Every Parent Should Read This Book!
Most parents will do just about anything to secure happy lives and bright futures for their kids. Add in competition with other parents and near-constant pressure, their drive to give their kids the best of everything can backfire, setting back the child  and  the household finances.
Renewal
Spring is a time of renewal and rejuvenation.  To some spring cleaning may mean cleaning out closets and cabinets, but it also is a good time to get the cobwebs out and rejuvenate your relationship. Are you putting in effort and showing appreciation in your relationship? Are you taking it for granted? Do you treat each other the same as you did when you first met?
Try these 10 tips to reconnect with your loved one this season.

1- Find an activity to do together. Some people spend more time with their tennis partner than their romantic partner. Whether it is a game, a sport, or a hobby, learning something new together will have you be more connected.

2- Do something unexpected and special for your partner. Be creative. Take out old photo albums, open up a bottle of wine, and reminisce.

3- Have conversation. Get to know each other instead of being busy with others. Let your partner know that you value his/her opinions and ideas. And, please put electronics away when together. Do not let "technoference" into your relationship.

4- Spend time together.  There are everyday opportunities: eat dinner together, take walk together, watch a movie together, and even go to bed at the same time. Getaways can also help you reconnect. Whether it is an overnight or a few weeks away, a vacation together will definitely rejuvenate your relationship.

5- Have sex.  Need I say more?

6- Pursue a common cause. Let your passion grow together as you work on something that brings more meaning and purpose to  your lives.

7- Compliment each other. Do you treat each other better than you treat your co-workers, friends, strangers? Say something nice to each other at least once a day. And stop complaining!

8-  Apologize. Take accountability and work on resolving conflicts effectively. Just attack the problem not the person. It's always better to be happy than right. (You can't be right all the time.)

9- Show appreciation. We tend to take for granted those we are closest to. Say "thank you" to your partner for the many things they do for you. Show appreciation to your partner for routine activities and chores.

10- Couple's counseling. Psychotherapy is an effective way to help you reconnect with your partner. By improving communication and gaining insight, you can strengthen your bond with your partner. Counseling allows you to explore relationship challenges and possible solutions in a safe and confidential environment.

Raising the vibration of the planet
One inspiration at a time

Your Drop Matters

Not long ago, I wrote about the significance of random acts of kindness (RAK) and I want to shed yet another perspective on the subject. Our world is begging for more RAK and a place in the spotlight given the horrific events spread all over the news on a daily basis. We must remember that bad new sells and that historically, fear has been used as the ultimate tactic to control the masses. One day, the news will shed light on all the good deeds humanity does every day. That will be the norm and gone will be the days of a fear-riddled media.
In the meantime, remember the amazing ripple effect your RAK has on the planet whether noticed or unnoticed. We are a collective conscience of energy and the kinder the act, the higher the vibration for all of us to enjoy. If you ever wonder whether your heartfelt actions make any difference in this vast and intricate world, the answer is an astounding yes! Not only will you feel better along with the people around you, but you will magnetically attract more abundance, love and joy in your life. Kindness needs not a degree in in rocket science to be exercised. Our inherent human connection to one another begs that we support each other in order to thrive and survive. The teacher that spends the extra time with the struggling student, the neighbor who gives an elderly couple a hand unloading groceries or the nurse that goes beyond the call of duty with patients makes ripple effects that go beyond what meets the eye.
Your drop in the bucket of life matters and we are all better because of it. Your genuine gesture here may end up having an impact on the other side of the planet that can change the course of history. Now that's what I call empowering news! How many ripple effects have you made today? Collectively, we can make an ocean of difference.

HOW TO GET ACCOUNTABILITY IN YOUR LIFE
In my former business life of being a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, I would often tell my clients, "you can learn and do this all on your own... what you pay me for is to keep you accountable". They would often nod, smile and pay for another batch of training.
Accountability is what keeps us true to our word, committed to our vision, and moving in the direction of our desires. When we lose site, don't' follow through, and lack the contract connectivity, we have lost all sense of accountability. Often if not all the time, when we lose accountability, we end up hurting ourselves.  If you find that repeatedly, you lack the commitment to yourself, to hold your words, for your own greatness to flourish, you may need an accountability partner.
Success rates increase when women exercise with a friend. Why? It gets you're a** to the gym, to the running course and out the door. Same sentiment holds true for those that are struggling in business to move ahead, follow through and finally create their dreams.

Here are some ways to create an accountability relationship.
  1. WHO // If you look at your current circle of business friends, which friend is also going through the same scenario. Is there a friend stuck in the murky waters of not following through? Is there a friend that constantly shares her dreams but constantly stops short of moving forward? This is not the person to ask to be your accountability partner. You are looking for someone that is the opposite, that will be your rock. Look within your circle and locate the one person that always nails what they say they are going to do. Which person is a no BS kind of person, lacking sugar in sweet talk and says it like it is? This will be your business and live accountability savior.
  2. WHAT // You have located your rock star partner and now need to muster up the words to do the ask. "Will you be my accountability partner for 6 weeks, once a week? I value and respect you and need your help". That is all you have to say.
  3. HOW // How will this work? Create a 6-week plan of all the things you are going to tackle. And add every little thing business and life related. Share that list with your accountability partner and tell them you have made a commitment to do all of the specified items in 6 weeks. Select a same time, same day, same way agreement so that its in each of your calendars for the entire 6-week timeframe. Ex. 6 pm, every Wednesday for the next 6 weeks.
HOMEWORK // Every single day for the next 6 weeks you will work on each item you noted. If it only 2 min, 20 min or 2 hours, every day you will work towards every single goal. Whether our steps are small or large, it's important that they always lead in the same direction without any pause. This is the only way you step towards your dreams. Accountability to yourself, and your greatness are just steps away.
Here is a worksheet to walk you through the steps -
