KGI Spotlights
Student Eric Benjamins
A lot of students want to make a difference in the world. Eric, a first year MBS student, has gone above and beyond that call. During his undergraduate studies, he spent four weeks at the University of Botswana, helping research low-cost vaccines in developing countries. Then, went back to the University of Botswana again two years later to help train PhD students in the technology while continuing his own rabies research.

Students Nebiat Hunegnaw, Lynn-Indora Edmond, and Ariel Brown
This trio of current KGI students and alumni utilized their data analytic skills during their internship with BioCentury. All three obtained their internships through resources provided by KGI’s Career Services. At the end of their tenure, they contributed to the American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2017 Emerging Targets publication.

Past Professional Development Events for Students
January 17 Mentoring Round Table

The mentoring round table with KGI Trustees and Advisory Council members was a huge success! KGI students understood the value of networking with these individuals, and enjoyed their interactions immensely. KGI Trustees and advisors found it equally important to assist students—the future leaders of the life sciences industry—by offering help and advice in their career paths.
January 18 Mock Interviews

Each year, KGI holds a mock interview session for students with KGI Advisory Council (AC) members. This event gave KGI students practice in their interviewing skills with high-level corporate executives in a safe environment. Both the students and AC members were happy with this year's successful event.
